Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, Mauritius

Our Opinion
Shangri-La's Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, enjoying an unsual and spectacular setting on the East Coast, is one of the best known and well-established resorts on the island of Mauritius. Rooms are spacious and sophisticated, service and hospitality are undoubtedly of a high standard, and exceptional facilities abound - from the indulgent Givenchy Spa to the fabulous kids club - and the package attracts a healthy proportion of repeat guests. This high demand does bring a correspondingly high price, and one may find more value for money elsewhere in the highly competitive 5 star market, but a stay at Le Touessrok is unlikely to be a disappointment!

Dining & Restaurants/Bars
The resort offers some of the best in Mauritian cuisine and also serves an extensive range of other cuisines from around the world. Light snacks and refreshing beverages are also served on the Le Touessrok beaches all day.

The name says it all! Over three floors there are the cuisines of nine countries in a ’culinary theatre’ represented by eight show kitchens. This extraordinary buffet restaurant is the place for breakfasts and sociable and entertaining evenings.

Barlen's
The beach restaurant and bar on the shore of Trou d’Eau Douce bay is built from wood and thatch with an Asian-inspired interior, and is presided over by host Barlen himself. Expect excellent food and a warm welcome.

The Séga Bar occupies centre-stage at the resort’s main pool, and is the ideal spot for refreshing drinks, tropical cocktails and light snacks throughout the day.

Crusoe and Robinson
On Ilot Mangénie, the resort’s romantic ’desert island’, fresh local food and drinks are served beachside in the shade of the trees.

Paul & Virgine
During a day of relaxing on the beaches of Ile aux Cerfs or between water sports activities, lunch is provided at the relaxed, barefoot restaurant Paul & Virginie.
