Canonnier Beachcomber Resort & Spa, Mauritius

Our Opinion
Canonnier Beachcomber is an excellent pick for families, with a strong range of facilities that work well for children and parents alike. Its location on the sheltered northwest coast places it close to Grand Baie, so guests have easy access to the shops, restaurants, and amenities of this popular area.

The resort has come through a significant refurbishment and feels fresh, modern, and well cared for. Service standards are high, and the quality of the food stands out — impressive for a four-star property. All things considered, Canonnier delivers a genuinely strong family holiday experience in Mauritius.
Summary
Set within 17 acres of lush tropical gardens, Canonnier Beachcomber Resort & Spa is a wonderfully family-oriented property on the sheltered northwest coast of Mauritius. The grounds incorporate the remains of an historic fortification, complete with original cannons — a distinctive feature that gives the resort its character.

Guests can choose from three restaurants, and the spa is something special: six treatment rooms set among the branches of a bicentenary banyan tree. A wide array of water and land-based activities is available, alongside family-friendly accommodation spanning several room categories. The complimentary kids club runs a full programme for children aged 3–12.

An attractive all-inclusive package is offered, with interchangeability at Shandrani Beachcomber (Serenity Package only), Victoria Beachcomber, and Mauricia Beachcomber. Transfers from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport take approximately 75 minutes.
