Domaine de Grand Baie, Mauritius
Our Opinion
We have been to Domaine de Grand Baie ourselves, and the location really is its strongest selling point. This modern complex of 145 apartments and studios sits right in the centre of Grand Baie village, putting beaches, boutiques, waterfront restaurants and the well-known Thursday market all within a short walk.
The on-site facilities are solid too: two restaurants, two bars, a spa and a pair of swimming pools (one outdoors), plus a good selection of activities and services. It is a natural fit for independent travellers who prefer the space and freedom of apartment-style living, with hotel amenities close at hand. For longer stays especially, it works beautifully.
