Le Meridien Ile Maurice, Mauritius

Our Opinion
Le Méridien Ile Maurice sits on a fine stretch of beach along Mauritius' sunset-facing west coast, an area prized for its calm seas, golden evening light and unhurried atmosphere. We have not yet had the chance to stay here ourselves, but on paper this is a very strong all-rounder, with an appealing balance of facilities, space and value.

Versatility is the resort's biggest asset. There are several restaurants, a choice of swimming pools, a full-service spa, kids' and teens' clubs and a long expanse of sand, which makes it a natural fit for families and multi-generational travel. For couples, the dedicated Nirvana adults-only wing offers a calmer, more polished retreat within the same property, so both halves of the party are well catered for.

The accommodation is contemporary and generously proportioned, and the layout is spread out enough that the resort rarely feels busy even when full. Being on the west coast also puts guests in a strong position for enjoying Mauritius' famous sunsets and for exploring nearby attractions with ease.

All things considered, Le Méridien represents solid value for money, particularly for travellers who want a high-quality resort experience with plenty of dining and activity options without stepping into the very top end of the luxury price bracket.

For anyone seeking a family-friendly Mauritius resort that still offers genuine style and dedicated adults-only space, Le Méridien Ile Maurice certainly deserves serious consideration, and it is one we would very much like to experience first-hand in the future.
