We're genuinely excited to see Constance Le Chaland join the Constance Hotels & Resorts family on Mauritius. Set on the south-east coast with a contemporary design inherited from its time as Anantara IKO, this resort sits in a beautifully unspoilt stretch near Le Chaland Beach and Blue Bay Marine Park.

We haven't yet stayed here under Constance management, but knowing the brand's track record, we're confident the service, dining, and overall experience will be lifted to match their consistently high bar. We're especially curious to see how their signature relaxed-luxury style and serious culinary approach translate into a property that already has strong bones.

Perched on the sands of Le Chaland beach in south-east Mauritius, Constance Le Chaland combines seaside tranquillity with easy access — just fifteen minutes from the airport and ten minutes from Mahebourg. Guests can explore Mauritian heritage, snorkel the protected waters of Blue Bay Marine Park, or simply unwind with the understated elegance and refined dining that mark Constance's newest property.

Accommodation
The resort has 158 rooms, most overlooking the ocean. Each measures 55 m² and comes as king or twin, with full air-conditioning, a furnished terrace or balcony, and a generous bathroom with both bathtub and rain shower. In-room comforts include satellite TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, a Smart TV with Chromecast, voicemail telephone, safe, desk, sitting area, minibar, tea and coffee kit, espresso machine, 220-volt sockets, premium toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, evening turndown, and 24-hour in-room dining.
Six 115 m² suites add separate living spaces, while two large pool villas work well for bigger groups and families.

Restaurants & Bars
Horizon serves all-day dining with buffet and à la carte options. Mornings bring island fruits, pastries, and live cooking stations with international breakfasts and local Mauritian specialities. Lunch mixes Mauritian and global classics, while evening buffets celebrate the island's fusion of flavours.
Flame & Tide puts grilled dishes and ocean-inspired plates centre stage, with sweeping sea views and theatrical cooking. For a more intimate experience, Zafran offers a tasting journey guided by the wine guru and a personal chef who brings out the nuance of each pairing.
Bars include Karokan by the main pool (light bites, tropical drinks, Mauritian rum cocktails), the Flame & Tide Beach Bar for sunset drinks by the sea, the 1884 Wine Cellar with a personalised wine-led menu, the Aqua Pool Bar for swim-up relaxation, and Ti Baz — an eco-conscious beachside spot serving local bites, tropical fruits, and artisanal cocktails.

Constance Spa offers holistic wellness journeys with indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, Thai massage pavilions, a Turkish hammam, steam rooms, relaxation areas, beauty salon, whirlpool, and a fitness centre.
Coconut Tribe welcomes children aged 4 to 11 with themed days blending eco-missions, empathy-building games, STEAM activities, and outdoor adventures led by a team and Siops the dolphin.
Complimentary land activities include cycling, hikes, and nature trails, while water activities cover paddleboarding and kayaking. Paid extras range from scuba diving and catamaran cruises to sunset cruises, quad biking, nature reserve visits, cultural tours, big game fishing, and trips to Mahébourg. Golfers get privileged access to Avalon Golf Estate, roughly 40 minutes away, set on open landscape with sweeping ocean and mountain views.
