SALT of Palmar is an adults-only boutique hotel on Mauritius's east coast, belonging to Design Hotels. What sets it apart is a genuinely local approach: everything from the furnishings to the ingredients is sourced from within Mauritius, giving guests a real sense of place. The eco-conscious ethos runs throughout the property. It is a place we are genuinely looking forward to visiting.

Summary
SALT of Palmar aims to introduce guests to the real Mauritius, encouraging exploration with complimentary convertible cars, bicycles, and insider tips on local treasures. The property was designed, built, and furnished by local artisans, and is managed entirely by Mauritian staff. A library of over 300 titles, many by Mauritian authors, is spread throughout the resort and guest rooms. The resort operates with a strong sustainability ethos, eliminating single-use plastics entirely.
